Terms & Conditions
1. Booking & Payment
All course places are confirmed upon receipt of payment.
By making a booking and/or payment, the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
Course places are limited and reserved specifically for each delegate.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to training courses booked for a specific date.
1.1 Transport Manager Refresher Course
The Transport Manager Refresher Course is designed for professionally competent Transport Managers and operators wishing to maintain and update their knowledge in line with the expectations of the Traffic Commissioners and the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
Important: This course does not count towards Driver CPC (DCPC) periodic training, and no Driver CPC periodic training hours are awarded upon completion.
1.2 Delegate Responsibility
It is the responsibility of the booking organisation and/or delegate to ensure that the course being booked is appropriate for their individual training or regulatory requirements prior to completing payment. Customer 1st (UK) Ltd accepts no responsibility for bookings made in error where the course purpose has been clearly stated prior to purchase
2. Cancellations & Non-Attendance
2.1 Non-Attendance (No-Show)
• Course fees are non-refundable in the event of non-attendance.
• Failure to attend a booked course will result in the loss of the course fee.
2.2 Delegate Unable to Attend
• Where a delegate is unable to attend, notice must be provided prior to the course start date.
• At our discretion, a transfer to a future course date may be offered.
• Transfers may be subject to an administration fee (typically £25–£50).
2.3 Short Notice Cancellations
• Cancellations made within 48 hours of the published course start time will be treated as non-attendance.
3. Substitute Delegates
A substitute delegate may attend in place of the original booking, provided:
• Reasonable notice is given.
• The substitute meets the course requirements.
4. Employer / Third-Party Bookings
Where a course is booked by an employer or other third party:
• The booking organisation remains responsible for payment of the course fee.
• Changes in employment or personal circumstances do not entitle the delegate or booking organisation to a refund.
5. Course Transfers
Transfers are:
• Subject to availability.
• Required to be taken within three months of the original booking date.
• Limited to one transfer per booking.
Failure to attend a transferred course will result in the loss of the course fee.
6. Course Delivery
Customer 1st (UK) Ltd reserves the right to:
• Amend course content where necessary.
• Reschedule course dates in exceptional circumstances.
Where a course is cancelled by Customer 1st (UK) Ltd, delegates will be offered either:
• A full refund; or
• An alternative course date.
6.1 Force Majeure
Customer 1st (UK) Ltd shall not be liable for any failure or delay in delivering training arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including (but not limited to) illness, technical failure, adverse weather conditions, or other unforeseen events.
6.2 Cancellation by Customer 1st (UK) Ltd
Where Customer 1st (UK) Ltd is required to cancel or reschedule a course for any reason, delegates will be offered either:
• A full refund; or
• A transfer to an alternative course date at no additional cost.
7. Delegate Responsibilities
Delegates are expected to:
• Attend on time.
• Participate appropriately throughout the course.
• Provide valid identification where required.
8. Liability
Customer 1st (UK) Ltd shall not be liable for:
• Travel or accommodation costs incurred by delegates.
• Any loss arising from delegate non-attendance.
• Indirect or consequential losses arising from the booking or delivery of the course.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Where applicable, local legal requirements within other UK jurisdictions shall also be respected.
10. Discretion
Customer 1st (UK) Ltd reserves the right to exercise reasonable discretion in exceptional circumstances where it considers it appropriate to do so.
Effective from: 1 April 2026
Customer 1st (UK) Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version applicable to a booking shall be the version in force on the date payment is received.
